Advocacy at the United Nations
One of our Sisters serves as a representative of the worldwide federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph at the United Nations, where she coordinates the presence of the Sisters of St. Joseph at meetings and in response to several issues. Her presence at the United Nations ensures an active voice in the affairs conducted at the U.N. for the welfare of people and the planet.
Needs of the day
Sisters advocate for what they see as the needs of the day, (link to Today’s Concerns) such as advocating against human trafficking; for Life, immigration reform and fair, humane treatment of refugees; protecting our environment; access to affordable housing and affordable, quality health care; against racism; for equality for all, gun safety, and to help those who seek a deeper spiritual connection.
